February 03, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

Yet another one of those days when I need to make an image and am running short on time, locations, opportunities and ideas. So I decided to explore my dry leaf on concrete series and see what image I could make. And another day when I only have 1 image to process for the day.

Today I had a meeting with Jeff of B+D Advertising. They used my image of the Chico Downtown Plaza without licensing. Jeff contacted me before I was able to contact them with a DCMA take-down email. This is the first time ever I was contacted by the responsible party first. Jeff liked the quality and diversity in my work and wanted to meet and talk about potential future work. Yes I know we've all heard that line many, many times before "If you do X for me this time, I promise I'll do X for you in the future", so yea, we'll see what happens by this time next year.

I can thank Flickr and the photo-a-day and photo-a-week projects for continuously forcing me to step out of my photo comfort zone and trying new styles, genres and techniques.
