006•366 • 2016 • no luck…

…It appears all the luck has run out of this horseshoe.

I didn't have much luck making images today, this is the one and only image file that was worth processing.

366 is showing me who's the boss, so early in the game and having to push creative bounds in Lightroom post processing. I say bring it on 366, I've bested your younger siblings 52 and 365 several times in the past.

Blog Only notes about this image:

I added the "straight out of camera" unprocessed image file below the processed image. This is one of the many reasons to shoot RAW image files and not just JPEG. You have so much more room for post processing.

As you can see I was able to bring out much more detail and clarity. I consider the processing for this image a bit "heavy handed" Lightroom processing.

Coming from the analog days of photography, I normally "get it right in camera". Back in the day, there was never room for error or fixing it in Photoshop when shooting color transparency (slide) (positive) film.

My "heavy handed" Lightroom 6 processing consisted of boosting the clarity, boosting contrast, adjusting white balance, setting white and black points, shadow and highlight sliders, boost vibrance, using the adjustment brush on the horseshoe, leaves and shells (clarity and exposure) and adding a vignette.
