Over 100 fatherless young men (ages 7-14), along with their mentors, gathered at the CHP Academy today in West Sacramento for the 19th Annual Tim Brown Mentor Mini Camp. The event is hosted by Tim Brown's Charity 9-1-1 for Kids and gives disadvantaged boys the opportunity to team up with a mentor father and participate in a football training camp. Cal OES Director Mark Ghilarducci presented a joint resolution from the California State Legislature declaring today "9-1-1 for Kids Tim Brown Mentor Mini Camp Day."
