I then take it into Lightroom to add tags, title, caption and my watermark. So in essence each photo will be straight out of camera phone.

Alien Experiment.
Last Summer, Alabama passed HB56, the most sweeping immigration bill in the country. It's an example of a strategy called "attrition through enforcement" or, more colloquially, "self-deportation"--making life so hard on undocumented immigrants that they choose to leave the country. But as reporter Jack Hitt found, the new law has had lots of other unintended consequences. Jack has a book coming out this Spring called Bunch of Amateurs. (35 minutes) "

I live in a NorCal neighborhood where whites are a minority, our city is surrounded by farming and agriculture.
Mexican immigrants are the grease that lubricates the gears in the western United States. If it weren't for their often backbreaking work, our local farming and agriculture industries would fail.

There are an abundance of Taco Trucks here in Chico, Ca, serving up authentic and good quality food at a reasonable price. We can feed our family of 4 for $10-$15 total. Gordo Burrito gets better Yelp reviews that our traditional Mexican restaurants.

MoPho Info:
Capture • DROID 3
Processing • Pro HDR Camera - Vignette - Photoshop Express

TALTOTW project 52 Weeks, creating 52 new images in 2012 for each week's TAL theme with the device I listen to the episodes on, Motorola Droid 3.

Each image for this project will be shot in 2012 and processed in phone with installed Apps. Yesterday I remembered the bear ransom note that our girls made in September 2010. At the time I took a photo of the ransom note. I went back into my archives and printed the photo of the ransom note Anna is holding. A trip to Costco today I discovered the 53" plush teddy bear and I knew the photo shoot was on!

Sadly, I became one of "those photogs" who buys a prop solely for the purpose of a Flickr photo.

I want to thank Stacie Barton for the inspiration for this photo. Yes Shawn is 21 years younger than me, no she’s not marrying me for $$$, she’s the breadwinner of the house and future Attorney. I’m the artsy Mr. Mom.

We’re getting married this July on The Lost Coast of Northern California, a Burning Man inspired camping wedding on the beach. Since this location is both magical and extremely remote/rugged we even included a Survival Guide in the wedding invitations.
Here’s a photo of our wedding spot.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dougchurchill/5860399818/in/set-72157620795497854/lightbox

This is actually a follow-up to an image I posted to This American Life • Theme of the Week when this episode first broadcast in January 2011. That image is of an Anniversary card in the rack at Hallmark, close-up and selective focus.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/dougchurchill/5393061290/in/set-72157628130364189/lightbox
I popped the question at Machu Picchu…
This photo linked below was made minutes after I proposed to Shawn.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/dougchurchill/6192279045/in/set-72157627333164354/lightbox
...what I wrote while in Peru.
After 4 years of living with Shawn and our girls, playing house, I finally did the right thing and asked her if she would marry me. I popped the question at Machu Picchu at the Hitching Post of the Sun (Intihuatana), likely the most sacred place in Machu Picchu.
The ring I got her combines both our birth stones, ruby for her and diamond for me.

Fast Forward to March 2012…
OK, so I finally did one of those cliché ring/book/heart wedding images. Hey at least I did it with my cell phone camera. This image was all handheld, Shawn was holding an LED Flashlight for the lighting and I the DROID3. What’s amazing is, this is a 3 exposure image using Pro HDR App! Handheld lighting and handheld camera for 3 exposures and the text is still sharp, why can’t my $3,000 Nikon Fx DSLR do that?

The ring pictured will be my white gold Celtic wedding band that Shawn purchased for me. Did I mention Shawn is 100% Irish descent? The book my ring is placed on is the “Hiking the California Coast Trail” turned to the page for Usal, our wedding beach.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

MoPho Info:
Capture • DROID 3 with Pro HDR App
Processing • Vignette App

This American Life • Theme of the Week • MoPho Project 52 Weeks, creating 52 new images in 2012 for each week's TAL theme with the device I listen to the episodes on, Motorola Droid 3. Note: The story in Act One isn’t suitable for children and we’d like to note a trigger warning to survivors of abuse.
Act Two. Isn't It Slow-Mantic.
In Sean Lewis’ family, there is a legendarily romantic love story. It’s famous in his family partly because the story unfolded over decades and across continents, but also because no one can quite believe that out of everyone in their family, the one with the epic, swoon-inducing love story…is Mark. Sean is a performer and playwright now touring with two shows, which you can learn about at his website.
