For today in honor of the legendary David Bowie, his life, his accomplishments, his inspiration to milllions. Thank you for all you left us. RIP good sir.

How Mr. Bowie briefly became aware of my photography…

In 1993 I was commissioned by Triple XXX Records to re-create David Bowie's Pinups album art for a band named Human Drama.

Having been a Bowie fan since High School (1975), I was very excited to take this assignment. This CD cover is the result of that assignment. If you compare this with the original Pinups you will see how hard we worked to make a worthy tribute.

I understand this project was cleared with Bowie's people by Triple XXX records and that Mr. Bowie thought the photography and music were well done.

From my 3rd year 365 on Mr Bowie's BDay 08 January 2011.

Today's TRP theme... wish I had more time to do something different, but it was a busy day and I had to rush to my storage unit, dig out an old portfolio, toss the CD cover on the concrete floor and make a quick image with my Canon G12 @ ISO 1,250. It works though and I got my photo of the day and for the TRP theme.
